Please live simply so that others might simply live

 At Christmas time we rejoice that God came to earth in Jesus so that we might have new life and forgiveness.   He didn’t have to come but he loved us so much that he left the security of Heaven to dwell among us and give us new hope and a new future.

 As we celebrate this good news, let us also remember that Jesus was not born into riches but chose to be born in a stable and live simply amongst ordinary people.      He might rightfully have expected to have been born in a palace.   Instead, he gave up this type of lifestyle ( later life itself on a cross) so that we might have new life.

 May I challenge you, in response to this, to surrender some of your money so that the homeless might have a chance of a new life ?     A special “thank you” to private individuals and to Churches who already provide regular donations.   Please keep them flowing as your donations are vitally important to help homeless people need.
